Indestructible Glass and the Man That Went With It

In 37AD an unknown man created unbreakable glass. He foolishly showed it to Tiberius, who was the Emperor of Rome at that time. Tiberius killed him and ruined his workplace because he didn't want anyone to have the knowledge of that special material. The man used a form of sodium borate which is the key ingredient in Pyrex glass. Pyrex glass is the presently known unbreakable gass. If it wasn't for Tiberius who destroyed the man's work we would have had that glass since then...

  1. Stealing a guy's work is sort of rude. Immagine what life would have been like and the stuff that would have been invented if unbreakable glass would have been used since that time O.o

    1. That's what I'm saying! It is a shame. Actually, his work wasn't stolen; it was burned.

  2. do we still have this glass today? if not, then why can't we make it like the unknown man did?

    1. Some think that the unbreakable glass we have now, Pyrex glass, is what the man previously made. It took almost 2000 years to recreate (maybe) the glass that the man made so long ago. Scientists know for sure that borate is in both of them because boron is the only element that can give glass resilience to knocks and thermal shocks. Hopefully that answers your inquiries.
